The intention of the ensemble "Musica Thalia", which was formed around the celebrated flutist Maria Loos, is to bring the vitality and richness of color of the magnificent music of the 17th and 18th centuries, which is still unheard in many places, to life.
With their speaking and expressive playing, the musicians succeed in bringing the swinging and sensual music of the Baroque to life.
They all studied at the Mozarteum Salzburg, won numerous prizes at international music competitions, were invited to make CD recordings and gave concerts with great success all over Europe - the members of "Musica Thalia", Salzburg, who, with the equally unusual and appealing tones of the interplay of Flute, viola da gamba, harpsichord promise a captivating and colorful listening experience.
The cooperation with renowned singers and other instrumentalists (percussion, theorbo, organ, violin) give the ensemble a great variety in the design of the most diverse concert programs. Accompanying moderations make the concert evening an unforgettable experience.
